Located on Fobes Hill in a large wooded area with gardens, trees, views and acreage lies beautiful Serene View Manor of Snohomish. Serene View Manor Adult Family Home has private and semi-private rooms, two large common areas and a large kitchen open to residents. The view of the Cascade Mountains is breath taking on a clear sunny day.

Nutrition is a core value of Serene View Manor; the home has an organic garden where they grow as many vegetables as possible for their meals. The residents are invited to participate in community gardening activities. There is also a piano available for residents to enjoy.

Doreen, owner and operator of Serene View Manor, would like to have a variety of residents who are interested in being part of a community. She believes that many people can benefit from wholesome nutrition, fresh air, mental stimulation and interaction with others. It is a community that is peaceful and serene, yet full of life and activity. "I want it to be a place that the resident's family members enjoy coming also, so that visiting their loved ones is not a chore to fit into their schedule, but an enjoyable outing for family members of all ages." Doreen first became interested in taking care of the elderly when she became active in advocating for a new concept in nursing homes called The Greenhouse Project. She knew that she wanted to take this "community" philosophy and incorporate it into her own Adult Family Home philosophy, where she is also proud to have her grandmother as a resident. Serene View Manor's mission is to provide a home where people can live a healthy and happy life. "This is your home just as much as the home you left."
